A few things
worth knowing.

Read the full guide
How does GatherShelf share limited stock?

For each item, available whole units are shared in proportion to the quantities requested. Stable request IDs resolve ties. Volunteers can adjust the plan before recording, while staying within the available stock and original requests.

Do I need an account?

No. Your workspace is saved in this browser using local device storage. Nothing is automatically synced to another computer or phone.

What happens after a distribution is recorded?

The packed quantities are subtracted from stock and requests in one transaction. Unfilled quantities remain open, and the completed distribution is added to history.

Does the plan check food safety or dietary needs?

No. The planner works with requested quantities. Volunteers must verify product labels, dates, allergens and household suitability and apply their own pantry policies.
